Answer: You didn't specify which Nuxeo version you're using. The underlying issue was fixed upstream in OpenCMIS 0.12 by CMIS-814 which we use since NXP-14727 , it will be included in Nuxeo 6.0.

Answer: Nuxeo 5.7.2 supports the basic CMIS 1.1 APIs but not most of the new CMIS 1.1 features, including the two you reference. JIRA NXP-11996 is available to track progress regarding this issue.
